Next day:
- Run with ranger –> So cool, me and my mom ran a mile to the Arch then we went on a two mile run with the ranger and he just spouted off facts the entire time! So cool! Highly recommend!
- Went up in the Arch with Sophie –> Amazing. All I could think about was Percy (from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan) jumping from the Arch and into the Mississippi. He must have taken quite the leap.
- Packed up and drove away
Gateway Arch Facts:
- No one died during the whole building process
- The Eads Bridge right next to the Arch was the first world’s first all steel bridge. It is made of Carnegie steel.
- The Arch is 630 feet tall.
