I went to Niagara falls for the first time. It was unbelievable. When I first saw the horse shoe falls my jaw dropped, it was amazing. I was blown away. We first went to the horse shoe falls and horseshoe falls is my favorite one out of all of the falls, it was the biggest and the prettiest one. If you got close to it you would get sprayed my the water, it was a hot day so it felt nice. Then we went over to the Bridal Veil Falls and The American Falls. They were super pretty too. Bridal Veil falls is the smallest falls there. It was super fun watching the falls but I kind of got sick looking at all the water go down, so I had to step away and not look at the water anymore. So the first day that we went to Niagara Falls state park, we just got a feel of where everything was and just to look at all the falls. I love Niagara Falls so much, it is one of my favorite places that we have gone on this trip, I will probably go back someday in the future. Niagara falls State park gets 8 million visitors each year.
The next day we did Cave of the winds which is: you watch some videos and read more about Niagara falls and what it was like before and then you go down a elevator near Bridal Veil falls and you get your yellow or whatever color ponchos and then you head over to the falls and get soaked. There’s a platform right under Bridal veil falls that they have to redo a few times a year just to make sure it is sturdy and will stay where it is. We took lots of pictures, it was so pretty, the views from down there was amazing. When you stand in the falls it kind of hurts because the water just comes and pelts your back. And also when you stand under it you have to face away from it because all the water just comes into your face and it is hard to see even when your turned away. The ponchos have hoods but mine never stayed up on my head because the wind and water always made it fall, and a ton of water would go into the hood. Cave of the winds was so much fun and 100% worth it and it was a great experience. So if you ever go to Niagara falls State park I recommend cave of the winds because you’re literally in the fall.
