We went to New cast Delaware which is in the Northern. It was really cute and small.
We went into the Court house for a tour. It was super cool. The ladies that were giving us the information of the rooms that we were in were so good, they talked so fast and they barely stuttered. They are really good at their jobs. We started in the Court room, it was super interesting. One fact i thought was super interesting that was back then they would have up to 3 judges in court and the main judge in the middle would wear the biggest whitest curliest wig and that’s how we got the term “Big wig.” I thought that was very cool, I did not know that before. Then we went upstairs and there was another lady up there giving us information about the rooms that we went into. There was about 6 rooms upstairs that we went into and looked around. It was awesome to see what there was in the rooms that were there from back then in the late 1800s and 1900s, like some of the floor and walls.
We went and walked around a graveyard, it was fun to look at the dates that they were in, there was even one that died around 1707. Then we ate at Jessop’s Tavern, it was so good. It was such a good little restaurant and the waiters and waitress were in old fashioned clothes which was another cool perk. We also got some ice cream and it was delicious, it literally just like melted into my mouth. Then we just went and sat by the river, it was a little chilly but it was nice and relaxing. After that we walked their strand for a bit.
