We went to Mammoth Cave national park and went into the wonderful cave.
It is is the Longest cave reaching 412 miles long, it is windy like spaghetti (that we know of). It is super cool and pretty. Since of Covid it was self guided tour. We just walked around and read the well put together signs about it and learned more of what it is and what it was used for back then. They found salt petre and used it in a for the ammunition of the war of 1812. We asked the very useful park rangers the questions that we had. We got really good answer and we found our really interesting things and very interesting stories.
There were really cool water features. My favorite was (I don’t remember the exact name) the water clock, it was just so amazing and its so awesome to think that nature itself made it. It was so pretty and kind of looked like a clock so that water clock is the right name for it. It would drip in like the rhythm of a clock, if you listened very closely you could hear it.
There was also a cool looking coffin rock that had an interesting story that came with it. And if there was no lights in there and you used one of the lamps and you held up with one of the lamps while slowly raising it, it would look like the coffin lid was rising.
