AYRES NATURAL BRIDGE county park near Douglas, WY
“Ayres bridge is a natural 50-foot high, 100-foot long rock structure across La Prele Creek cut by moving water over the centuries.” – Geowyo.com
It is meticulously cared for by a sweet older couple. They’ve added their own “touches” such as fairy houses in hollowed out trees, trolls that guard the bridge, and even monkeys swinging in a tree. Great place for kids to explore.
There is a sand volleyball court and horseshoes as well as many picnic areas. Not to mention 8 FREE camping spots right along the river.
Pros – pit toilets, garbage cans, quiet camping – on a weeknight.
Cons – no hookups and NO internet/cell service. Busy on weekends.
Looks like a fun time
