So…I just had a great time with @freetowanderlust (Instagram name). They are another family travelling for a year and we got to meet up with them! Why am I so excited? Because, not only were we able to swap stories, but they actually understand what it’s like to be on the road. What it’s like to not have a really house, but still have a home. They understood our situation. Even though we had never met them until we met them there was an instant connection. We may not have swapped tales of adventure all night, but we had a great time (at least I did). We walked, ate, played football, talked future plans and stops, life after the trip, plus plans, and just adventure stories. We were all over the place, but there were smiles and laughter and just a sense of comradery.
I had a great time, and if you ever read this @freetowanderlust me and my family would love to meetup with you and share another adventure! 🙂
You guys will never understand what we’ve done unless you’ve actually done it. We may not be full-timers (because that is completely different), but we’re still on the road. It’s hard, but it’s SO worth it. Only now am I beginning to comprehend what a blessing this trip has been. So sad there is only 35 days left! 🙁
