One Big Field Trip

Kentucky | Horse Park + Other Stuff

Me and my mom went to the Kentucky Horse Park that was within walking distance of our campground. We stayed there for a few hours, walking, talking, petting and hanging with the horse, went to the Breeds from Around the World show.

Some stuff they have to offer is The Big Barn with all their big draft horses (Belgian, Shire, Percheron, Clydesdale, and Suffolk Punch). LOTS of stables. Then there were four stables in a separate area for their champion horses. Kids barn (loved it! XD). Police barn (got to ask them questions and meet their horses). There are a lots of hands on things to do (especially without COVID). Lots of horse shows (some we didn’t make it to). Movies/shows. Baby horses too! 🙂

You can spend an hour here, or maybe the whole day. It depends on your interest, and how much you want to get to.

We also had bike rides and hikes just around our campgrounds
Lots of time with Sophie at our campground near the horse park (we partied it up, especially when I made that catapult and was launching fruit snacks into her mouth for an hour or two…)
Tree climbing.
Car rides.
Kentucky is SO PRETTY!

Washington, Kentucky, (and soon to be written about states) are my FAVORITES!
